  • Yes.
Every QR plate purchased from Legacy in Memoriam is protected by a lifetime warranty.

If your plate ever becomes damaged, unreadable, worn down, or stops working due to weather, time, or any reason — we replace it at no cost.
Your loved one’s legacy should last forever, and we stand behind that.

  • Each Legacy in Memoriam plate comes with industrial-grade double-sided tape pre-applied to the back of the plate.

    This tape is:

    • Designed specifically for long-term outdoor use

    • Heat- and cold-resistant

    • Moisture-resistant

    • Strong enough for metal, stone, wood, ceramic, and smooth surfaces

    • Similar in strength to what’s used for exterior signage and automotive trim

Once installed on a clean, dry surface, it creates a secure, permanent bond intended to last for years — even in harsh weather conditions.

  • Our plates currently measure:

    • Size: 2 inches x 2 inches

    • Thickness: Around 1.5–2mm (varies slightly based on engraving pass)

    • Material: 316 marine-grade stainless steel

    • Finish: Polished, corrosion-resistant

This size is small enough for urns, plaques, gravestones, benches, and keepsakes — but large enough to scan easily.

  • Installation is simple:

    1. Clean the surface thoroughly with the provided alcohol wipe.

    2. Ensure the area is completely dry.

    3. Peel off the adhesive backing.

    4. Firmly press the QR plate into place for 30–45 seconds.

    5. Allow adhesive to cure for 24 hours before exposing to heavy weather or moisture.

For porous or uneven stone surfaces, you can add optional outdoor epoxy for reinforcement, though most customers find the included adhesive strong enough.

  • Yes — our plates are engineered for long-term outdoor durability and are safe for all climates, including:

    • Heavy rain

    • Snow and ice

    • Wind

    • Sun and UV exposure

    • High humidity

    • Coastal and salt-air environments

    • Freezing and high-heat temperature swings

This is why we use 316 stainless steel — the same material used in marine equipment and medical-grade tools.

Your memorial remains scannable and intact for life.

  • In most cases, yes.
QR codes have built-in redundancy, meaning even if up to 30% of the pattern is damaged, it will still scan correctly.

If damage ever prevents scanning, your lifetime warranty covers a full replacement.

  • Yes — you can invite approved users, similar to how you might add friends on Facebook.

    Approved users can:

    • Leave guestbook entries

    • Create a personal “shared memories” page between themselves and the loved one

You remain in control of who can contribute.

    • The main memorial page is public, so anyone scanning the QR plate can view it.

    • Approved users can create private personal pages that only they can see.

This gives families full flexibility and privacy where it matters.

  • Legacy in Memoriam was founded by two brothers who experienced deep personal loss and felt there weren’t enough meaningful, modern ways to honor loved ones.

We wanted to build something that felt human — something that kept stories alive.

  • Jeremy — U.S. Army Veteran

Jeremy served in the U.S. military, where he formed lifelong bonds and, tragically, lost close friends along the way. Those experiences reshaped his understanding of legacy, purpose, and remembrance.

He has seen firsthand how fragile life can be, and how important it is to honor the people who shaped us. The losses he endured during and after his service became one of the driving forces behind Legacy in Memoriam.

Alden — Designer, developer, and memory preservation advocate

Alden has always been deeply connected to storytelling, family, and remembering those who came before us. After losing loved ones, both people and pets, he realized how few lasting ways exist to preserve their stories in the modern world.

Together, the brothers combined their experience, empathy, and creativity to build a platform where memories can live on.

    • We use premium 316 stainless steel — durable enough for a lifetime

    • We offer private and public memory sharing

    • We provide a lifetime warranty

    • We focus on modern, minimalist design

    • We understand loss personally — this isn’t just a product; it’s a purpose

Legacy in Memoriam is built with heart, not just technology.
